Every year I take my family on holiday and every year they complain. This is despite the fact that I always pick somewhere with all of their interests at heart! I never consider what I would like to do – yet every single year I have chosen the wrong place! This year I decided to take a completely different tack, and I chose to find somewhere that would suit me down to the ground, since they always complain, they might as well be complaining somewhere that I like!

Because I always tried to please everyone else, we hadn’t gone anywhere that was up my street in recent years, and I really had to rack my brain to come up with somewhere that we had been that I had really liked, and then I remembered going to the Algarve when the children were just little. They hadn’t been old enough to complain then!

I had a look around online, and I came across some Algarve flights which wouldn’t break the bank. I decided on a whim to just go ahead and book them before anybody could talk me out of it!

When we arrived at Faro both of my children were already complaining, but as we got on our transfer and the kids saw the views
of the coastline as we drove along, they soon started to pipe down. The place was as beautiful as I remember it, and all I could do was to hope that the golf courses were as good as they always had been!

I recently landed a great job which involves quite a lot of travelling. The great thing about a position like this is that you get to travel the country, and you get paid to do it! Last week I had a trip up to Edinburgh and I was lucky enough to be able to stay over, which meant that I was able to explore the city a little bit. I’m really looking forward to my trip next week because I am going to London! It’s one of my favourite places in England, and it is always a joy to be able to go there. As soon as I got the call from my boss, I jumped online and booked my London flights a day earlier than I needed to be there. I was able to fly up on a Sunday morning so I knew that I would be able to head back to a few favourite old haunts before I had to get down to business.

It didn’t take me a lot of time to plan my time out. I would arrive at Gatwick, head straight into Central London, and go and catch Camden Market. The sorts of things on sale there now probably won’t appeal to me anymore, but it will be such a great blast from the past. I used to save up for weeks and weeks as a teenager to be able to travel down to London to buy all of my vintage clothes from the market, and it would be great to see if it was the same today as it was all those years ago.

I couldn’t wait to get going, and I only hoped that my new job would take me to London on a regular basis!

Alicante is Spanish town and it is well known in the world for its best wines and food. Castle of  Santa Bárbara is one of the highest point in city and can be visited during the day. It has accumulated great interest from historians and the general public because of its rich history and unique architecture. The city has well equipped hotels and restaurants with all modern amenities. You can witness Spanish culture and traditions here in its native style. Alicante welcomes its guests with open arms.
