There are three main holiday resorts on the popular island of Lanzarote in the Canaries. Each boasting its own unique attractions and accommodation options.

Playa Blanca in the south of the island is the newest resort on Lanzarote and has rapidly grown from a small fishing village over the last decade. Playa Blanca has become a popular holiday hot spot as the result of boasting some of the best beaches on the island – which are located in and around the resort. Whilst within the town itself there are another three fine stretches of sand to enjoy in the form of Playa Dorada, Playa Flamingo and Playa Blanca (the small town centre beach which the resort is named after).
These are all united by a seafront promenade – which is also where visitors will find the main concentration of restaurants, shops and nightlife in the resort. Follow this to the west and you’ll come to the Rubicon Marina – home to Lanzarote’s very own branch of the famous Café del Mar chain.
